Thanksgiving Project – Hazleton Public Transit
Hazleton Public Transit Details
Hazleton Public Transit will provide free transportation to City View Park on Sunday, November 15 for pick up at CEO’s Thanksgiving Project
How it works
Registered riders can board at any HPT bus stop sign or at a safe location along any HPT route of travel. Hazleton Public Transit operates a “flag stop” system whereby riders can signal for an HPT vehicle to stop anywhere along its designated travel route. We encourage our customers to stand in a safe location where the vehicle operator (and other motorists) will be able to see you clearly.
- Bus will run from 10:30 – 2:30 and will follow the route shown on the map below. The bus will stop and pick up passengers along the way.
- Every passenger MUST be registered. CEO will have a staff person at the bus station and on each bus, scanning QR codes and verifying registration before boarding.
- ONLY one person per registered household can ride the bus – so there is room for food and so the bus can accommodate everyone that has requested a ride.
- Passengers will not need to exit the bus at the Park; food will be brought on board by volunteers.
- Each registered household will receive food items in bags. Passengers should be prepared to carry these items off the bus at their stop or the station. Folding grocery carts may be helpful for anyone traveling a distance after departing the bus.
