Did you know CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank accepts gifts from donor-advised funds? Creating a donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple, tax-advantageous way to streamline your personal philanthropy. With a donor-advised fund, you can directly recommend grants to CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank. Get started by reaching out to your financial or legal advisor today!
Locally, we have several donor-advised fund options that we regularly receive designated gifts from: Fidelity Charitable, the Luzerne Foundation, the Scranton Area Foundation, and the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains.
In addition to donor-advised funds, the food bank can also receive donations directly from your IRA account. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, your IRA contribution may be counted toward your required minimum distribution. Qualified charitable distributions are tax free when they are sent directly from your IRA.
CEO’s Weinberg Food Bank is a member of the United Way and can receive donation designations made as part of a pledge or gift to any United Way.
