Hunger Action Month
September is Hunger Action Month.
Every September, communities across the country come together to fight hunger — and this year, your neighbors need you. Advocate, donate, or volunteer: pick the way that fits you, and help us feed more people than ever before.

See What Hunger Looks Like
Hunger doesn’t always look the way you’d expect. Watch stories from people right here in our community facing food insecurity — and learn how many of your neighbors go without.
This year try one or two of these ideas for getting involved:
Employee Dress Down Day
September 29th is Hunger Action Day. You can celebrate, even if you are working remotely! Ask your employees to donate to the Food Bank and wear orange, the color of hunger awareness. Take a picture or screenshot during a Zoom meeting and post it on Social Media, tag CEO so we can share it too!
Host a Food Drive
Make it a contest between departments or locations to see who can have the greatest impact. Raise money instead of cans: Thanks to the Food Bank’s wholesale purchasing power and efficient distribution model, a financial gift provides more food than through a traditional food drive – doubling or even tripling the amount of food your dollar can buy at the grocery store.
Sign up for Hunger 101
Experience a simulation of what it is like to struggle to feed your family. This activity is best followed by a volunteer activity – either at our volunteer site or with a food distribution partner in the community.

Host a volunteer day at the Food Bank
invite your employees and their families to come out and help feed our community. You’ll have a blast serving your community together!

When you give, you’re not only supporting a vital cause, you’ll also experience the lasting reward of helping others.
There are three ways to donate directly to CEO:
